About Us
![]() In 2005, Mountain Creek Miniatures was formed in Missoula, Montana. After years of being a miniature enthusiast, stemming from the dollhouse that my mom built for me in 1990, I decided to try my hand at making dollhouse miniatures. My grandmother had been making them for years, and I knew I could too. While attending the University of Montana, I had lots of free time to work on crafts. In addition to cross stitching, quilting, making cards, painting, scrapbooking, cake decorating and making many other crafts, I figured why not make miniatures also. I first made miniature wind chimes, and my collection evolved from there. In 2005, I joined the Montana Miniature Guild and participated in my first miniature workshop and show. Then I sold more items at a Girl Scout craft show in Montana. In February of 2006, I flew down to sell my miniatures at a Tom Bishop miniature show in Atlanta, Georgia, and I was hooked for life. After relocating in April 2006, from Montana to Georgia (for more career opportunities and better wages), I have participated in many craft and miniature shows in Georgia and Florida. In 2007, my website was created, in hopes of reaching miniature enthusiasts across the country. I will continue to participate in miniature shows throughout the country (eventually the Chicago and Seattle international shows), and improve my skills at creating miniatures. My husband and I have relocated back to the Northwest (because we missed the mountains, snow, skiing and the quiet way of life), and hope to stay in Northern Idaho for a long time. I will continue to make miniatures for my website and for craft and miniature shows in the area. And I continue to make custom cakes for my business Creative Cakes by Beth, with free delivery to Post Falls and Coeur D'Alene, Idaho. |
